The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Hoggets does no damage.
Hoggets looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A head kick misses from Hoggets.

and Holowitz counters with a shoot takedown. Hoggets fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Hoggets working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Holowitz's head.
Holowitz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hoggets defends it easily.
Hoggets got a little sloppy there for a moment and Holowitz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hoggets has managed to get both his arms back between Holowitz's legs - danger averted.

Holowitz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoggets on the ground.

Hoggets lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Holowitz quite badly. Holowitz pulls Hoggets in close trying to recover. Hoggets postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Holowitz on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Holowitz doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
