Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chauncey Hancock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Madison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Madison is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chauncey Hancock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Madison!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Winston Howard and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hancock moves into the clinch.

Hancock gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hancock decides to stand up.

Hancock throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Madison was covering up waiting for the punch and Hancock finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Madison is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hancock is aware though and is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Madison is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hancock defends well.

Madison had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hancock defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Madison escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hancock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Madison is on top in guard.

Madison has gone for a leg lock! Hancock slips out almost immediately though and dives into Madison's guard.

Hancock avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hancock in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hancock connects with a couple of short punches.

Hancock is looking to stand up but Madison won't let him.
Hancock is working Madison over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Hancock gets to his feet. Madison looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Hancock shoots for a takedown but Madison saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Madison throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hancock.

Madison feints and as Hancock raises his hands in defense, Madison changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hancock is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Madison is controlling him.

Madison drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hancock looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hancock looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hancock!
Hancock scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Madison to see if he's OK.
Hancock tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Madison manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hancock's best efforts.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hancock decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Madison tries to keep at a distance but Hancock has taken the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Madison pushes a forearm under Hancock's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hancock is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
