Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sergi Olympiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Sergi Olympiev has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sergi Olympiev seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Kozlov! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kozlov pivots, looking for a leg kick but Olympiev is out of range and Kozlov settles back down. Olympiev slips a jab from Kozlov. Kozlov looks to land a combination but Olympiev avoids it well. Kozlov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Olympiev looks for a takedown but Kozlov sprawls well. Olympiev drives through and clinches with Kozlov against the cage.

Olympiev controls Kozlov momentarily but Kozlov frees himself. Kozlov preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kozlov drops back looking for a leg! Olympiev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Olympiev manages to kick Kozlov off! Kozlov jumps back into Olympiev's guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kozlov throws a right and a left that both miss. Kozlov stuffs the takedown attempt from Olympiev. Olympiev gets slowly back to his feet. Olympiev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kozlov but Kozlov pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergi Olympiev. Olympiev jumps back into Kozlov's guard. Olympiev postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kozlov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Olympiev, into his guard. Kozlov wants to control from the top but Olympiev keeps moving. Kozlov passes Olympiev's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kozlov works his way into full mount! Kozlov pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nikolai Kozlov dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Olympiev takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Olympiev's guard. Olympiev can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kozlov controls the pace. Olympiev has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kozlov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Olympiev. Kozlov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kozlov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kozlov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Olympiev, who protects the arm well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kozlov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Olympiev some visible discomfort.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Olympiev manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Olympiev is staying active underneath Kozlov, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Olympiev wants to get back to full guard. Olympiev trying to control here.

Nikolai Kozlov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Olympiev's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Olympiev swats away the attempt to clinch by Kozlov. Kozlov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Olympiev counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kozlov's guard now. Olympiev is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Olympiev wants to control from the top but Kozlov keeps moving. Kozlov will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
