Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Faustino English (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wojciech Durlak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Faustino English!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wojciech Durlak!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durlak tries to clinch but English is having none of it.

Durlak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
English controlling Durlak's posture.
Durlak won't allow English to get back to his feet.

English looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
English keeping moving, preventing Durlak from controlling successfully.
Durlak throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as English works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Durlak must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
English throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Durlak in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Durlak decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
English fails to land with a series of punches.
English swings for the body but Durlak moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
English throws a predictable looking body shot

and Durlak counters with a takedown into side control.
English tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Durlak looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
English tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
English sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
English is trying to escape back to his feet but Durlak uses the scramble to pass into side control.
English struggling a bit here.
English prevents Durlak from moving into mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Durlak working away.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Durlak has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
English misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Durlak has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from English finds it's way round the side to connect with Durlak's head.
English fails with a takedown attempt.
English really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Durlak rushes English and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Durlak jumps guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
English is stalling in the full guard.
English sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Durlak's guard.
English slows the pace down in half guard.
English wants to lay and pray for a moment but Durlak keeps working.
English scoring with strikes to the body and head.
English thows a huge punch but Durlak dodges it nicely.
Durlak is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
English missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Durlak tries to kick English off but English keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Durlak has hold of English's hands but English slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Durlak looks winded!
English thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Durlak's head.

English escapes and gets back to his feet.
English fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

English tries to keep at a distance but Durlak has taken the fight into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Durlak lands a takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Wojciech Durlak will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


English lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Durlak circles away quickly and effectively.

Durlak gets caught flat footed, as English shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
English in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as English accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

English gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Durlak looks to clinch
and English counters with a nice body shot.
Durlak slips a jab and a cross from English.
English swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Durlak counters with a stiff right hand.

English gets caught flat footed, as Durlak shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

English has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Durlak can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Durlak is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but English has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Durlak is looking to defend but English has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Durlak! English pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Durlak taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Faustino English!
