Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Krayzie Bone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mikhail Nikolaev! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bone misses with a looping right. Nikolaev misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nikolaev closes the distance looking to clinch and Bone counters with a big head kick but Nikolaev shrugs it off. Bone blocks a jab. Bone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nikolaev cracks Bone with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Bone fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nikolaev misses with a series of wild punches.
Nikolaev drops Bone with a beautiful combination! Bone stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nikolaev is looking for the KO!
Bone is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bone throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Oh Bone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! No joy there for Nikolaev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bone moves into the clinch. Nikolaev lands a nice uppercut. The referee calls for Nikolaev to work.
A short right from Nikolaev on the inside. Nikolaev lands with a light punch inside. A bit of stalling here from Nikolaev.
Bone pulls guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bone is controlling Nikolaev's posture. Bone lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nikolaev! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bone misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Nikolaev is squirming around, avoiding Bone's attempts to control the action. Bone seems to have got his legs back now. Bone sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Nikolaev really wants to buck Bone off and get back to his feet. Bone trying to control but Nikolaev is having none of it. Bone misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bone thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Bone can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nikolaev is looking to escape. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nikolaev can do anything to dispel that myth. Bone misses with a head shot. Nikolaev wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bone controlling his opponent. Bone can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nikolaev is looking to escape. Bone is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Nikolaev to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nikolaev shrugs it off. Poor strikes thrown by Bone there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nikolaev squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bone tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bone tries to control but Nikolaev wriggling away. Nikolaev is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bone thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Bone looking for a guillotine from mount but Nikolaev is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Krayzie Bone will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bone.
Krayzie Bone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nikolaev tries to bum rush Bone with a series of wild strikes but Bone uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A nice leg kick lands there from Bone. A thudding body kick lands there by Bone!
Bone takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bone has managed to clinch.
Bone keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Nikolaev's efforts to push away. Nikolaev is looking to break free of the clinch but Bone has double underhooks. Bone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nikolaev doesn't manage to clinch there - Bone circles away.
Bone tries to keep at a distance but Nikolaev has taken the fight into the clinch. Nikolaev lands a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. A right hook to the body lands for Nikolaev.
Bone breaks from the clinch.
Nikolaev throws a right hand that Bone ducks under and follows up with a left that Bone also avoids with ease. Bone fails with the takedown. Nikolaev takes a swing at Bone's ribcage but misses. A combination from Nikolaev does no damage. Bone throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nikolaev. Bone lands a head kick!
Bone tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nikolaev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bone shoots in but Nikolaev avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bone swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nikolaev lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Mikhail Nikolaev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Bone. Bone will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Krayzie Bone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nikolaev throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bone misses with a wild combination.
Bone doesn't manage to clinch there - Nikolaev circles away.
Nikolaev dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Nikolaev lands a glancing blow to the side of Bone's head. Bone throws a head kick that misses. Nikolaev darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Nikolaev ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bone takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nikolaev lands a right hook to the body.
A head kick misses from Bone. Nikolaev jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nikolaev has managed to clinch.
Nikolaev is trying to push Bone away but Bone has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Bone's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Bone misses with a short punch on the inside. Nikolaev is trying to force a seperation but Bone has the dominant position. Bone is trying to stall.
Bone is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nikolaev gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krayzie Bone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nikolaev slowing the pace effectively. Bone blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Nikolaev wants to break the clinch but can't.

Nikolaev lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bone or not. Bone pulls guard. Bone looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Bone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nikolaev defends it easily. Nikolaev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nikolaev is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikhail Nikolaev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Nikolaev throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bone on the side of the head. Nikolaev throws out a powerful jab. Bone clinches up with Nikolaev and pushes him back against the cage. Nikolaev gets through Bone's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Bone working hard to break the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Nikolaev lands a body shot in the clinch.
Bone keeps control of Nikolaev as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Bone wants to break the clinch but can't.
Nikolaev lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bone or not.

Bone wants to break free but Nikolaev has control.
Bone jumps guard but Nikolaev turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Nikolaev is looking to break free of the clinch but Bone has double underhooks. Nikolaev rushes Bone and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Nikolaev swings wildly with an uppercut but Bone uses good head movement to avoid it. Nikolaev swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bone has Nikolaev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nikolaev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Nikolaev misses with a body punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nikolaev misses with a punch on the inside.
Nikolaev fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Nikolaev blocks the elbow strike.
Bone using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nikolaev has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Bone blocks an uppercut.
Bone manages to break the clinch.
Nikolaev lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bone at a distance.
Nikolaev tries to clinch but Bone moves out of range. Nikolaev has Bone up against the cage in a clinch.
Bone keeps control of Nikolaev as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Nikolaev tries to circle away but Bone has him pinned against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nikolaev wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bone wants to get back to striking at distance but Nikolaev won't allow it.
Nikolaev wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bone tries to pull guard but Nikolaev won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krayzie Bone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nikolaev lands with a light punch inside. Nikolaev wants to break free but Bone has control.
A nice left hand lands by Nikolaev.
Bone is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Bone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bone lands with a slapping head kick. Nikolaev lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A head kick misses from Bone. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nikolaev avoids the head kick by Bone.
Nikolaev connects with a body shot. Nikolaev connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Bone misses with a combination
and Nikolaev counters with a nice body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bone takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bone tries to clinch up but Nikolaev circles away and keeps his distance. Nikolaev throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Bone's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Nikolaev dives in looking to finish as Bone flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Nikolaev's strikes! Nikolaev is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Bone's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Bone was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mikhail Nikolaev!
