Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tero Siren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Van Der Sluijs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Van Der Sluijs told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tero Siren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Van Der Sluijs! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Siren throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Siren swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A shot to the body from Siren misses letting Van Der Sluijs counter with a right hand.
It looks like Tero Siren has been cut. Siren throws the left hand but Van Der Sluijs avoids the punch easily. Siren throws a left and a right that both miss
and Van Der Sluijs counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Van Der Sluijs moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Van Der Sluijs tries a head kick but it misses.
Siren takes a swing at Van Der Sluijs's ribcage but misses. A shot to the body from Siren misses and Van Der Sluijs counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Siren swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Siren scores with a sloppy right hand. Van Der Sluijs should have avoided that one. Siren throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Van Der Sluijs sees it coming and avoids it easily. A swing and a miss from Siren. Van Der Sluijs lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Tero Siren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Siren scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jab from Siren. Van Der Sluijs pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Siren misses with a straight right. Siren misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Der Sluijs lands a nice shot that snaps Siren's head back.
A telegraphed right hand from Van Der Sluijs misses the target. Van Der Sluijs scores with a sloppy right hand. Siren should have avoided that one. Siren throws an off balance right hand
and Van Der Sluijs counters with a huge left! Siren is in big trouble! He's backing up but Van Der Sluijs isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Siren from any more damage. A dominating finish by Van Der Sluijs!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Van Der Sluijs! James Van Der Sluijs decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
