Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alfred Iu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adon Boonliang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adon Boonliang has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alfred Iu's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alfred Iu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adon Boonliang! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Iu gets the takedown into side control. Boonliang is looking to regain half guard here but Iu keeps moving and retains side control. Boonliang is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Boonliang dodges the ground and pound from Iu. Boonliang parries the strikes from Iu easily there. Iu is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Boonliang to escape.
Iu advances to full mount. Boonliang tries to get back to half guard but can't. Iu working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Boonliang is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boonliang is looking to get to half guard. Iu controlling from mount. Boonliang is squirming around, avoiding Iu's attempts to control the action. Iu is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Boonliang is surviving well by controlling Iu's body position as best he can. Iu avoids the attempt from Boonliang to control. Iu throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Boonliang because Iu loaded up on that one.

Iu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Iu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Iu looking to control but Boonliang is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Boonliang tries to hold on but Iu postures up. Iu is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Boonliang can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Iu misses with a head shot.

Boonliang is looking to get to half guard. Iu has control of Boonliang's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Boonliang regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Boonliang wants to control but Iu is having none of it. Iu can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Boonliang is looking to escape. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Iu working for a submission but Boonliang is keeping him at bay. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alfred Iu dominated that round. That's time! Iu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Iu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Boonliang defends it nicely. Iu goes for a double leg but Boonliang avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Boonliang continues to drive forward. Iu pulls guard successfully.

Boonliang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Iu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Iu has a closed guard, preventing Boonliang from standing up. Boonliang must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Iu has his foot on Boonliang's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boonliang works his way back into a safe position though. Iu trying to control the position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Boonliang tries to stand but Iu is controlling from the bottom. Iu looking for a guillotine here but Boonliang defends easily.

Iu keeping moving, preventing Boonliang from controlling successfully. Boonliang is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Iu is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Boonliang presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Iu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boonliang walks away with a smile on his face. Iu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alfred Iu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boonliang scores with a shot to the body.

Iu is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boonliang throws a head kick but Iu moves out of range.
Oh Iu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Iu tries for a takedown but Boonliang sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Iu seems to have got his legs back now. Boonliang lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Boonliang, right into the meat.
Boonliang looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A good leg kick by Boonliang. Boonliang lands a big head kick that sends Iu to the canvas! Boonliang follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adon Boonliang!
