Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julio Quintana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erkki Vieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Julio Quintana has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Julio Quintana seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quintana on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Quintana lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

and Vieri counters with a good low kick that Quintana was not able to check.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Quintana fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vieri has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Vieri creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Quintana sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
A lull in the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vieri has knee on belly momentarily but Quintana bucks him off and regains half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vieri is looking to advance position but Quintana won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quintana slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

BOOM! Vieri connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vieri loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Quintana scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Vieri land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Vieri stands and salutes the crowd.
