Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miles Harunodo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Steel!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harunodo throws a front kick that sends Steel stumbling back into the cage.
Steel cracks the inside of Harunodo's front leg.
Steel avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Harunodo thows a leg kick but Steel checks it
and Steel counters with a low kick, right behind Harunodo 's knee.
Steel throws a leg kick that is checked
and Harunodo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Steel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Harunodo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Steel tried to score with a low kick but Harunodo checks it.
Steel throws a quick inside leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A head kick misses from Harunodo.

Steel lands a big head kick that sends Harunodo tumbling to the mat! Steel takes a step backwards and waves Harunodo back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Miles Harunodo has been cut.
Steel misses with an uppercut.

Steel clinches up with Harunodo and pushes him back against the cage.

Harunodo breaks the clinch.
Harunodo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Steel.
Steel tries a low kick but Harunodo avoids it.

Harunodo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Steel on the side of the head.
Harunodo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Steel throws the kick towards the body but Harunodo avoids it.
Harunodo misses with an attempted mid kick.

Steel throws a head kick but Harunodo moves out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Harunodo is trying to push Steel away but Steel has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Harunodo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Steel has him pressed against the cage.

Harunodo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Steel throws a nice outside leg kick.
Harunodo scores with a jab. Steel acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steel misses with a head kick.
Good standup being displayed there by Steel as he connects with a hook.
Harunodo throws a sloppy head kick and Steel moves out of range easily.

Steel throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Harunodo is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Steel connects with a single shot there.
Harunodo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Steel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Steel feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Harunodo sprawling to the canvas! Harunodo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Steel finish him?!


Harunodo is rocked!
Steel is stalking Harunodo. Harunodo circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Steel, and it's lights out! Harunodo really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David Steel!
Our winner, David Steel, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
