Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Magnus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Mirko Magnus enters the cage!

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Magnus throws out the jab.

Magnus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Diaz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz cracks Magnus with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Magnus looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Diaz finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Diaz checks a leg kick.

Magnus throws a leg kick which misses Diaz's front leg but catches the back leg as Diaz tries to avoid it.
Diaz connects with a single shot there.
Diaz steps in with a hook that catches Magnus right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Diaz follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Magnus looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nigel Diaz!
After the fight, Nigel Diaz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
