Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Willy Gilligan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Luchador!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilligan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Luchador manages to avoid it.
Gilligan dives in and grabs Luchador's left leg, looking for a takedown. Luchador pushes down on Gilligan's head and hops out.
Luchador should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A head kick misses from Luchador.
Luchador shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gilligan connects with a jab.
Luchador misses the shot to the body.
Gilligan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gilligan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Luchador doesn't seem bothered though.
Luchador throws a jab but it's blocked by Gilligan.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gilligan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Luchador on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Luchador avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A head kick misses from Luchador.
Luchador tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gilligan counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Gilligan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gilligan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Luchador has eaten all the pies!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Luchador walks into a left hand.
Some bone on bone action there as Luchador checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Luchador blocks a jab.
Luchador misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Decent striking displayed by Gilligan there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Luchador tries to clinch up.
Luchador doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Luchador looks winded!
Gilligan circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Luchador tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Gilligan wins by KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Willy Gilligan!
