Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Crushing Cows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin Diggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crushing Cows has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Crushing Cows! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Franklin Diggs! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cows throws a shot from downtown. Diggs moves away and avoids it. Cows fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Diggs to the ground. Cows is now in Diggs's guard. Diggs utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cows controlling from the top position. Diggs has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Island Top Team. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Cows throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Diggs works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Diggs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cows defends it easily. Cows distracts Diggs with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Cows lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Cows postures up and lands a big shot to Diggs's brow. Cows trying to control the position from guard on top but Diggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cows is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cows with a flurry of punches that miss. Cows forces his way into half guard. Cows throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Diggs trying to control but Cows postures up.
Ground and pound from Cows. Diggs has hold of Cows's hands but Cows slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Cows missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Diggs taking some punishment here, with Cows in his half guard. Cows has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cows throwing shots but Diggs is blocking nicely. Cows wants to free his trapped foot but Diggs is holding on for dear life with his legs. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cows lands a nice short elbow. We've been hearing good reports from Cows's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cows tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diggs knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Cows is trying to control the action in half guard but Diggs is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Diggs is doing well to control the position and prevent Cows from advancing to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cows throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cows thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Still in half guard, Cows seems content to control. Diggs wants to improve his position but Cows is controlling well.
Cows thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Diggs's head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cows connects with a nice short shot to Diggs's temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diggs is pressing down on Cows's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Diggs has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cows can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cows might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cows cracks Diggs with a solid left hand. Cows stopping the sweep attempt from Diggs. Cows is looking to work some ground and pound but Diggs has wrist control. Cows content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Cows pushing down on Diggs's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cows is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Diggs is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cows scores with a couple of nice shots. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cows slows the pace down in half guard. Cows throwing shots but Diggs is blocking nicely. Diggs keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Cows trying to mount his opponent but Diggs defends it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cows wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diggs keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cows is nestled in close to Diggs, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Crushing Cows dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Diggs scores with a nice strike. Diggs gets caught napping as Cows dives in and scores a takedown. Diggs manages to retain guard. Cows in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Diggs controlling Cows's posture. Cows throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Cows landing some decent shots from guard. Cows wants to control from the top but Diggs keeps moving. Diggs not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cows pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diggs is keeping the position for now. Cows avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cows wants to control from the top but Diggs keeps moving. Diggs avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Cows stands and throws Diggs's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cows in side control lands a decent elbow. Cows working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Cows scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Diggs to see if he's OK. Diggs takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Cows working the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diggs is trying to buck Cows off. Diggs is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Diggs taking a bit of punishment here - Cows scoring with strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cows trying to control the action but Diggs is working from the bottom. Diggs struggling a bit here. Cows working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Diggs is rocked! Cows lands a strong strike to the head of Diggs. That's dazed him! Cows looking to finish here. Diggs is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Cows lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
