Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justin Hilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Furlong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Hilder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Furlong! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Hilder with that takedown attempt. Furlong pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Furlong throws a right and a left that both miss. Hilder slips a straight right by Furlong. Furlong throws a hook to the side of Hilder's head but Hilder sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Furlong closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hilder is looking for a sweep. Furlong thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hilder manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hilder is in trouble now - Furlong has advanced to mount! Furlong prevents Hilder from getting the reversal. Hilder is working hard here to advance position. Hilder bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Hilder drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hilder jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Furlong wants to sweep here but Hilder controlling him for the moment. Furlong is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hilder pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Furlong is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Furlong bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hilder's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Furlong advances to half guard. Hilder is breathing heavily. Hilder won't allow Furlong to pass to mount. Hilder wants to improve his position but Furlong is controlling well.
Hilder regains full guard. Nicely done. Furlong slips nicely into half guard. Hilder is defending against the submission attempts here by Furlong.

Furlong lands strikes from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hilder wants to get back to full guard. Furlong lands with a punch from half guard. Furlong scoring with strikes to the body and head. Furlong passes to side control. Furlong has an Americana. Hilder didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Furlong is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Furlong hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
