And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ve Topmaia!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez stuffs the takedown attempt from Topmaia. Topmaia gets slowly back to his feet.
Gomez tests Topmaia's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Ve Topmaia has been cut.
Gomez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Topmaia.
Horrible takedown by Topmaia or perhaps it was just good defense by Gomez which made him look bad.
Hector Gomez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ve Topmaia.
Topmaia fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Gomez checks it well.

and Gomez counters with a thumping low kick.
Gomez jabs Topmaia to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Topmaia looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Topmaia shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gomez defends it nicely.
Gomez scoring well with a low kick there.
Gomez connects with a looping right hand.
Topmaia takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gomez pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Topmaia back to the cage. Gomez follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Gomez drops Topmaia with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Topmaia! Gomez dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
