Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Timo Kahuna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Steiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steiner comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Steiner kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Timo Kahuna! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ricky Steiner! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kahuna misses with a looping left. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Steiner has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Kahuna throws an overhand right that lands on Steiner's shoulder, as Steiner tries to avoid the shot. Steiner slips under a jab from Kahuna. Steiner scores with a takedown into Kahuna's guard. Kahuna utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kahuna on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kahuna tries to get out of the position. Steiner wants to control from the top but Kahuna keeps moving. Steiner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kahuna is working an open guard so Steiner takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Steiner avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kahuna's corner calls for a 1-2. Kahuna obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. A jab from Kahuna does it's job there. Steiner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kahuna sprawls well. Kahuna wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steiner gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steiner slips under a jab from Kahuna. Kahuna throws the left hand but Steiner avoids the punch easily. Kahuna lands a nice hook to Steiner's body. Steiner takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kahuna throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kahuna works the jab nicely. We've been told by Kahuna's head coaches at Elite Training Facility that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kahuna connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Steiner uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kahuna. Steiner doesn't manage to clinch there - Kahuna circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kahuna jabbing away but nothing is landing. Good standup being displayed there by Kahuna as he connects with a hook. A telegraphed right hand from Kahuna misses the target. Kahuna looks to throw the jab but Steiner is out of range. Kahuna tests Steiner's chin there with a solid looking shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Steiner moves in looking to clinch but Kahuna pushes him off. Kahuna swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Steiner. Steiner tries to clinch but Kahuna moves out of range. Steiner is looking to clinch but Kahuna is avoiding it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Steiner uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kahuna. Kahuna lands a jab to the head.
Timo Kahuna is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Steiner tries to clinch up but Kahuna circles away and keeps his distance. Steiner slips under a jab from Kahuna. Steiner looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Steiner throws a big elbow that misses. Steiner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kahuna is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Steiner trying to control but Kahuna is working from the bottom. Kahuna knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steiner on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kahuna is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Steiner is controlling him. Steiner trying to control the position from guard on top but Kahuna is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Steiner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Steiner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Steiner is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kahuna is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Steiner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Steiner wants to control from the top but Kahuna keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Timo Kahuna will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Steiner moves to clinch but Kahuna breaks away and Kahuna counters with a two punch combo. Timo Kahuna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Steiner takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Steiner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kahuna throws out the jab. Kahuna is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. A jab lands there for Kahuna. Kahuna waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Steiner. Steiner steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kahuna. Kahuna lands a left and a right that send Steiner crashing to the mat, dazed. Kahuna thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Steiner is rocked!
It looks like Ricky Steiner has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kahuna throws a shot from downtown. Steiner moves away and avoids it. Steiner is still on wobbly legs! Can Kahuna finish him? Kahuna is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steiner. Steiner tries to clinch and Kahuna counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
