Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

45 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, SergiO Ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cunha closes the distance but Ortiz moves to the side
and Ortiz counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cunha misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ortiz lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ortiz fakes the leg kick and cracks Cunha in the body.
Cunha tries to clinch up
and Cunha takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cunha closes the distance but Ortiz moves to the side
and Ortiz moves into the clinch.
Ortiz scores with a hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ortiz lands a nice shot to the body.
Come on Ortiz - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Ortiz lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Cunha is breathing heavily.
A short uppercut from Ortiz.
Ortiz throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Nice body punch from Ortiz.
Ortiz has Cunha pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ortiz pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cunha tumbling to the mat - Ortiz dives into Cunha's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ortiz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Check out the look on Ortiz's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Ortiz has an Americana. Cunha didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ortiz is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ortiz hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). SergiO Ortiz!
A determined SergiO Ortiz didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
