Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Kos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Ankudinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ankudinov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I must break you. kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Kos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eric Ankudinov! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kos throws a shot from downtown. Ankudinov moves away and avoids it. Kos throws a lazy right hand but Ankudinov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ankudinov moves away from the strike by Kos. Kos misses with a hook. Ankudinov ducked under it nicely. Kos misses the jab. The fighters circling - Kos throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kos misses with a right hand and Ankudinov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kos tries to get out of the position. Kos manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Ankudinov keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Ankudinov tries for a takedown but Kos manages to get underhooks.
Kos wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ankudinov has him pressed against the cage. Ankudinov throws a punch but it's blocked by Kos. Kos is trying to break free. Ankudinov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ankudinov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ankudinov misses with a straight right. Kos just misses with a punch to the body.
Ankudinov misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kos looks to land a left hand but Ankudinov moved out of range nicely. Ankudinov moves into the clinch. Ankudinov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kos avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ankudinov keeps control of Kos as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ankudinov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kos regains guard immediately. Ankudinov prevents Kos from getting back to his feet. Ankudinov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kos uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kos connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ankudinov's hands. Ankudinov misses with the combination.
Kos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ankudinov sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kos looks to land a left hand but Ankudinov moved out of range nicely. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kos waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ankudinov. Ankudinov keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kos missing with a left hand there. Ankudinov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ankudinov blocks a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kos sizes up Ankudinov with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Kos throws a front kick aimed at Ankudinov's knee but Ankudinov avoids it well. Kos will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ron Kos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ankudinov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kos is trying to get back to his feet. Ankudinov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kos is trying to get back to his feet. Kos is not content to let Ankudinov control the position. Kos is pushing Ankudinov's head away, looking to escape. Ankudinov manages to hold on to the position though. Ankudinov in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Ankudinov prevents Kos from escaping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ankudinov looks up at the clock and then as Kos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ankudinov smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kos is trying to escape the position but Ankudinov is controlling the position. Ankudinov decides to stand back up. Ankudinov steps back and let's Kos get back to his feet. Ankudinov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A shot to the liver by Kos. Beautiful body shot. Ankudinov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kos tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ankudinov is in Kos's guard. Ankudinov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kos wants to get back to his feet but Ankudinov passes into half guard.
Kos wants to stand back up but Ankudinov manages to pass into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ankudinov working the head with strikes. Ankudinov in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Ankudinov decides to stand back up. Ankudinov steps back and let's Kos get back to his feet. Ankudinov slips under a jab from Kos. Kos fails to land with a series of punches.
Ankudinov is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kos misses with a looping right. Kos throws an overhand right that lands on Ankudinov's shoulder, as Ankudinov tries to avoid the shot. A jab from Kos misses. Kos misses with a looping right. Ankudinov slips a straight right by Kos. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Ankudinov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kos's guard. Kos is looking to stand up but Ankudinov isn't so interested in that idea. Ankudinov trying to control the position from guard on top but Kos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ankudinov is working Kos over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Ankudinov looking to pass the guard. Kos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ankudinov is controlling him. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kos keeping moving, preventing Ankudinov from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Ankudinov dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ankudinov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kos is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Eric Ankudinov has been cut. Ankudinov lands with a slapping head kick. Kos throws a leg kick but Ankudinov checks it. Kos dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kos checks a leg kick. Kos scores with a hook to the body. Ankudinov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ankudinov blocks a jab. Ron Kos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ankudinov slips a jab from Kos. Kos rushes Ankudinov with punches - Ankudinov moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Ankudinov goes down! Kos follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ron Kos!
