Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcelo Mcgowan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Roy Tunney! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tunney tries to land a leg kick but Mcgowan saw it coming and moves away.
Mcgowan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Tunney tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mcgowan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tunney was covering up waiting for the punch and Mcgowan finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mcgowan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mcgowan content to stall in guard here. Tunney is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Mcgowan frees his head nicely. Oh but Tunney has switched to an armbar! Mcgowan is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
