Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnost Paskalev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes to the cage accompanied by UT Texas Fight Song. Paskalev is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arnost Paskalev!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams looks to land a right hand but Paskalev moved out of range.
Williams looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Paskalev uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Williams.
Paskalev displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Williams throws out the jab.

Paskalev shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Williams is trying to defend but Paskalev finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Paskalev is looking to advance position but Williams won't allow it.
Paskalev throwing shots but Williams is blocking nicely.
Paskalev trying to pass the guard but Williams defending well.
Paskalev works his way into full mount!
Paskalev thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Williams is desperately trying to improve his position but Paskalev has a good base and remains in mount.
Paskalev is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Williams working to try and regain half guard.
Paskalev throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Paskalev lands a couple of good shots and Williams has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Well, with Paskalev on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Williams is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Paskalev throwing damaging strikes from the back! Williams could be in trouble here!

Williams defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Paskalev's arms.
Williams has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Paskalev.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Paskalev looking to break Williams's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Williams remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Paskalev will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Paskalev looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paskalev is trying to control but Williams is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Williams blocking the ground and pound.
Williams sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Paskalev is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Williams is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Paskalev pulls his head out easily.

Williams is staying active underneath Paskalev, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Paskalev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Williams is just riding it out for now. Paskalev eventually gives up the hold.
Williams is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Paskalev thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Paskalev works his foot free and advances to mount.

Paskalev goes for an armbar but Williams turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Williams.
Paskalev looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there.

Paskalev throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Paskalev wants to sweep here but Williams controlling him for the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Williams trying to control but Paskalev is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnost Paskalev dominated that round.

Williams uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Paskalev has time to react.

Paskalev looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Williams is refusing to be controlled, as Paskalev sits in half guard.

Williams makes his way to full guard, as Paskalev worked for a kimura.
Arnost Paskalev has got the better of the ground game so far.
Paskalev won't allow Williams to get back to his feet.
Paskalev pushes down on Williams's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Paskalev missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Paskalev wants to pass to mount but Williams is defending the position.
Paskalev slips a nice elbow through Williams's hands, connecting with Williams's forehead.

Paskalev seems to be working for a kimura but Williams defends the submission attempt.
Paskalev stops Williams from getting back to his feet.
Paskalev wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working.
Paskalev throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Paskalev tries to pass the half guard into mount. Williams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams is staying active underneath Paskalev, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Paskalev passes to side control.
Williams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Paskalev wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Paskalev has hold of Williams's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Williams tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Paskalev cranks the arm and Williams screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Williams, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Arnost Paskalev!
