The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveiro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Modnar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Oliveiro somewhat.
Modnar cracks Oliveiro with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Oliveiro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Modnar's waist but Modnar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oliveiro off to one side.
