Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Dale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Braz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, William Dale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fernando Braz! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dale throws a solid leg kick but Braz takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Dale. Braz scores with a head kick. Dale tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like William Dale has been cut. Braz lands a body shot.
Braz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dale as he avoids it easily. Braz misses with the combination.
Dale throws a right and a left that Braz avoids nicely. Braz fails with the takedown enabling Dale to counter with a crisp jab. Fernando Braz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Braz fails with a takedown attempt from distance. William Dale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernando Braz. Dale throws a series of punches but Braz avoids them all with ease. Dale gets tackled into the cage by Braz. Braz maintains the clinch. Braz pulls Dale into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Braz looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dale throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Braz pulls Dale in to control the position. Braz working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dale. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dale is looking to work some ground and pound but Braz has wrist control. Dale has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Braz wants to hit a switch here but Dale passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Braz there! Dale landing punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Braz takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Braz can't escape the position.
Braz tries to hold on but Dale pushes him away. Dale could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Braz is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dale breaks from Braz's wrist control and lands an elbow. Braz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dale scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Braz?

Dale wants to control the pace but Braz is squirming around nicely. Dale prevents Braz from getting the reversal. Braz slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Braz tries to get to full guard but Dale has control of the leg. Braz is trying to control but Dale manages to pass to mount!

Dale working away from the top, dropping strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dale throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Fernando Braz dominated that round. The cut man is working on William Dale's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Braz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dale digs a good hook to Braz's body.
No luck for Braz with that takedown attempt. Braz misses with a takedown attempt and Dale counters with a head kick. That will keep Braz thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! William Dale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernando Braz. Braz forces Dale back against the cage and clinches. Braz is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Braz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dale pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dale throws a head kick that misses. Dale throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Dale throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Braz counters with a leg kick. Dale swings for the body but Braz moves out of range.
William Dale is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Braz takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Dale keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A right-left combo lands from Braz. Braz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dale sprawls well. Dale wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Braz gets slowly back to his feet. Braz is breathing heavily. Braz scores with a spinning back kick!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dale lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Dale tried to score with a low kick but Braz checks it. Dale tries to close the distance and clinch but Braz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Braz darts in and clinches Dale up against the cage. Dale looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Braz stalling in the clinch but Dale improves position. Braz lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Braz is looking for a takedown. Braz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dale throws a sloppy head kick and Braz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Braz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dale throws a half hearted mid kick. Dale throws a series of punches but Braz moves out of range. Braz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Braz shoots in looking for a takedown but Dale manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Braz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Braz shoots in for a double leg but Dale sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dale misses with a wild combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A clash of legs there as Braz blocks the low kick. Braz rushes Dale and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Braz fails to pull guard.
Braz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dale is looking to chop away at Braz's legs. Braz pushes Dale up against the cage in a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dale holding his opponent close, against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dale has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Braz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fernando Braz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on William Dale's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Braz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dale sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Braz somewhat. Horrible takedown by Braz or perhaps it was just good defense by Dale which made him look bad. Braz misses with a body shot.

Braz slaps away a takedown attempt from Dale, before circling back to the center of the mat. Braz fails to land the takedown. Dale tries to keep at a distance but Braz has taken the fight into the clinch. Braz is trying to break the clinch but Dale is controlling him. Dale is looking for a takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dale tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Braz's elbow. Braz wants a takedown but no success here.

Braz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dale defends well and Braz ends up having to push Dale into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Braz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dale just stands there and leans against the cage. Dale escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dale throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Dale misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice takedown defense from Dale. No joy for Braz on that attempt. Braz takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dale tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Braz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dale throws a head kick that misses. Dale lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Braz backs up against the cage.
Fernando Braz seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dale throws a head kick that misses. Braz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dale. Dale throws a head kick that half lands.
Braz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dale swivels and escapes. Dale turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Dale lands with a slapping head kick. Dale shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Braz is trying to defend but Dale finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dale takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that's the end of the fight! William Dale showed his dominance in that final round. I think Braz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
