The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

dipchan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Gomes kicks dipchan off and gets back to his feet.
dipchan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gomes swivels and escapes.
dipchan shoots for a takedown but Gomes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
dipchan shoots in looking for a takedown. Gomes tries to sprawl out of it but dipchan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Gomes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mauro Gomes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of marc dipchan.
dipchan looks gassed!
Gomes connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed dipchan momentarily.
Mauro Gomes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gomes throws a big overhand right that connects, sending dipchan tumbling to the canvas!

It looks like marc dipchan has been cut.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Gomes lands a big uppercut and dipchan crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but dipchan looks OK. Gomes waves dipchan back to his feet!
Gomes is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! dipchan hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
