Marailov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mercer.
Gustav Marailov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been told by Marailov's head coaches at DUDES GYM...inc..CBK that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Marailov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mercer has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Marailov lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Mercer can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Marailov and Mercer drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Marailov.
