Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Franz Grave!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Owen Castle!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grave misses with a wild combination.
Danga de danga de dang - Grave scores with a four punch combination!
Castle thows a body shot but no joy.
Grave uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Grave keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Castle throws a sloppy body shot
and Grave counters with a left and a right that stings Castle.
Grave lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Castle circles away quickly and effectively.
Grave throws a series of punches but Castle avoids them all with ease.
Castle lands with a shot to the body.
Grave pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Grave throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Castle sees it coming and avoids it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Castle is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Grave defends it well.

Castle tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Castle has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Castle is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Grave is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Franz Grave will probably get the nod.
That's time! Grave's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A looping hook to the body misses from Grave. Castle does a little dance to reset his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Franz Grave.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Grave, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
