Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrea Delaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Backer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zach Backer has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Andrea Delaney's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrea Delaney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zach Backer! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Backer tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Delaney blocks a head kick by Backer.
A punch combination from Backer misses. Horrible takedown by Delaney or perhaps it was just good defense by Backer which made him look bad. No luck for Delaney with that takedown attempt. Delaney instigates a clinch. Delaney really is a fat lump. Backer breaks the clinch.
Backer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Backer throws a nice looking combination but Delaney bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Backer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Delaney is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Backer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Delaney is proving hard to escape from. Backer is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Backer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Delaney is looking to stand up but Backer isn't so interested in that idea. Backer looking to pass the guard. Backer passes easily into side control. Nice work. Backer decides to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Backer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Delaney has one foot on Backer's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Delaney blocks a head kick by Backer.
Backer tries to bum rush Delaney with a series of wild strikes but Delaney uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Backer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Delaney did well to prevent Backer getting side control. Backer throwing shots but Delaney is blocking nicely. Delaney is trying to maintain the position but Backer is very close to passing his half guard. Delaney is breathing heavily. Backer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Delaney wants to control but Backer is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Delaney is refusing to be controlled, as Backer sits in half guard. Backer wants to pass to mount but Delaney is defending the position. Backer is figuring out what he wants to do next. Backer is looking to advance position but Delaney won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Backer is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Zach Backer wasn't active enough on the ground. Delaney drives through and clinches with Backer against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Delaney fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrea Delaney. That's going to take a lot out of him. Delaney wants to get back to striking at distance but Backer won't allow it.
Delaney has had enough of the clinch but Backer keeps him there for the moment. A body shot lands from Backer.
Backer is trying to trip Delaney. He has hold of a leg but Delaney is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Backer persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Backer connects with a couple of short punches. Backer pushes down on Delaney's leg and manages to get into half guard. Backer gets to his feet - back to striking we go! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Backer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Delaney. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zach Backer dominated that round. That's time! Delaney's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Backer looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Delaney! Backer working the head with strikes. Backer stands up and beckons Delaney to his feet. Backer throws a nice inside leg kick. Zach Backer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Backer misses with a combination
and Delaney counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Delaney tries to circle away but Backer has him pinned against the cage. Delaney wants to get back to striking at distance but Backer won't allow it.
Backer has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Delaney clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Backer sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Delaney taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Zach Backer!
