Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wojciech Durlak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Thud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wojciech Durlak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Thud!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Thud.
Thud shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Durlak counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thud won't be happy with that.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Durlak is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Thud will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Durlak working away.
Thud is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Thud is working to avoid the ground and pound but Durlak connects with a decent elbow.
You can see the frustration on Thud's face as Durlak controls the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thud is looking to reverse the position.

Durlak controlling the position from side mount.

Durlak decides to stand up, so the ref orders Thud to his feet.
Thud tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Durlak swivels and escapes.
Thud fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wojciech Durlak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Thud.
Thud shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Durlak counters with a shoot takedown. Thud fights it but they end up in guard.
Durlak controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Durlak forces his way into half guard.
Durlak lands with a punch from half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thud tries to get to full guard but Durlak has control of the leg.

Durlak in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Thud tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Durlak!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Wojciech Durlak!
