Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Bonney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Silverhielm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonney comes to the cage accompanied by public enemy number 1. The crowd seem to be enjoying Silverhielm's choice of entrance music: Theme Tune to Islam. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Bonney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Pierre Silverhielm!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonney checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Bonney goes for a double leg but Silverhielm avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Silverhielm continues to drive forward.
Bonney can't get the takedown.
I was talking to Bonney's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Bonney tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Silverhielm's elbow.
Silverhielm has a couple of punches blocked by Bonney.
Silverhielm pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Bonney takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like William Bonney has been cut.
Silverhielm lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

That was a close round but I would say that William Bonney will probably get the nod.

Silverhielm throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bonney shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silverhielm manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

You can see the frustration on Bonney's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
What can Bonney do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

I would just about give that final round to Pierre Silverhielm.
