Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Agustin Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Lomov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Agustin Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Lomov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Lomov.
Lomov tries to clinch but Reyes moves out of range.

Lomov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lomov is fighting to break Reyes's control of his arms but Reyes is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lomov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Reyes works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lomov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Reyes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lomov is controlling him.

Reyes keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lomov's efforts to push away.

Lomov has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Reyes uses from the top position.
Reyes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Lomov wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Reyes is now in half guard.

Reyes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lomov is concentrating on defense, preventing Reyes from advancing position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lomov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reyes is working away from the top position though.
Reyes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lomov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Reyes gets caught flat footed, as Lomov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

It looks like Lomov is going to stand back up.

Lomov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reyes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Reyes has one foot on Lomov's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Alex Lomov wasn't active enough on the ground.

Reyes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Reyes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Reyes wants to control but Lomov passes easily into half guard.

Alex Lomov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


A head kick by Lomov misses

and Reyes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Reyes.

Lomov is stalling here. Reyes is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lomov seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Reyes has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Reyes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reyes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lomov is looking to reverse the position.

Reyes decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Lomov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lomov lands in his opponent's guard.
Lomov looking to sit in guard and control but Reyes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Reyes tries to stand but Lomov is controlling from the bottom.

Lomov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reyes is one step ahead there.
Reyes wants to stand but Lomov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Lomov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reyes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reyes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lomov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

You get the feeling that Reyes really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Lomov trying to control but Reyes is having none of it.
Lomov won't let Reyes get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Alex Lomov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lomov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
