Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Janno Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wolfgang Becker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gibbs comes to the cage accompanied by Apocalypse Please. Becker has chosen Mr Boombastic as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Wolfgang Becker has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Janno Gibbs's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Janno Gibbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wolfgang Becker!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ben Hemmingworth and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbs lands a nice looking body shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Becker has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gibbs cracks Becker with a right hand to the side of the head.
Becker lands a lovely overhand right.
Gibbs swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Becker to counter with a crisp jab.
Gibbs walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Becker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Becker takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Becker blocks a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gibbs throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Becker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Gibbs misses with an uppercut.
Gibbs throws out a loose jab but Becker uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gibbs gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gibbs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Becker defends it easily.
Becker trying to control the position from guard on top but Gibbs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Becker works over Gibbs with some ground and pound from guard.
Becker is in close to Gibbs's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Gibbs is rocked!
Becker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Oh Gibbs is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Becker with a nice head shot there.
Becker postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Gibbs covers up, he's hurt! Becker keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Becker and the ref steps in to end the fight! Becker can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wolfgang Becker!
