The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jasson shoots in and gets a takedown into Dennis's guard.
Jasson is looking to advance position but Dennis has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Dennis throws an elbow that misses. Jasson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dennis's guard. Nice move by Jasson!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dennis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A close round but Pearl Jasson will probably get the nod.

Dennis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jasson is fending him off so far but Dennis persists. Nope, Jasson circles away and we're back to standing.
Jasson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dennis.
Oooooh!!! Jasson has knocked Dennis down with a huge combo! Jasson steps away and waves a wobbly Dennis back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Daniel Dennis has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dennis shoots in for a takedown but Jasson shows good takedown defense.

Jasson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Pearl Jasson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Dennis shoots in looking for a takedown. Jasson tries to sprawl out of it but Dennis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jasson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jasson moves into range and clinches up with Dennis.
