Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herman falls off balance throwing a combination
and Conner counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Herman misses with a takedown attempt - Conner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

enabling Conner to counter with a crisp jab.
Herman looks to throw a body kick
and Conner counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Conner avoids the head kick by Herman.
Herman fails with the takedown
and Conner counters with a nice right hand that sends Herman toppling to the canvas! Herman scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Conner finish him?!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Herman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've been told by Conner's head coaches at Academia Ipanema that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Ryan Conner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lay Herman.

Herman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Conner's waist but Conner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Herman off to one side.
Herman throws a combination that misses
and Conner counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Herman badly! Conner follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Herman out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Conner finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ryan Conner!
Ryan Conner decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
