Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tod Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristian Rojas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tod Riggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cristian Rojas! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rojas throws a sloppy head kick and Riggs moves out of range easily. Rojas looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rojas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Riggs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rojas clinches. Rojas tries for a takedown. No joy.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Rojas just misses with a elbow thrown towards Riggs's brow. Riggs jumps into guard, dragging Rojas to the mat.
Rojas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Rojas stands up from guard. Let's bang! Rojas looks for a takedown but Riggs sprawls well. Rojas gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rojas taking a breather. Rojas tries to pull guard but Riggs forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Tod Riggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cristian Rojas. Rojas is defending well against a takedown attempt. Rojas lands an elbow just above Riggs 's eye. Rojas tries a knee to the head but Riggs blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rojas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Riggs takes a knee to the side of the body. Rojas using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Rojas is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Rojas is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Riggs is defending well for now. Riggs takes an elbow to the forehead. A short uppercut from Rojas. Rojas throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Rojas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Riggs walks away with a smile on his face. Rojas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Cristian Rojas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rojas looks winded! Riggs bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Rojas is trying to buck Riggs off. Riggs cracks Rojas with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rojas taking a bit of punishment here - Riggs scoring with strikes. Riggs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Riggs stands up and we're back to a striking position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Riggs moves in looking to clinch but Rojas pushes him off. Riggs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rojas's waist but Rojas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riggs off to one side. Riggs instigates a clinch. Rojas pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Rojas trying to land knees to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rojas is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Riggs is defending well for now. Riggs is trying to force a seperation but Rojas has the dominant position. Rojas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Riggs walks away with a smile on his face. Rojas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Riggs drives through with a takedown into guard. Riggs cracks Rojas with a solid left hand. Rojas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Riggs throwing strikes but missing. Riggs has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rojas is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Riggs is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rojas has momentary wrist control but Riggs slips an elbow through the middle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riggs throws a big right hand that misses. Rojas is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Riggs dives into side control.
Riggs postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Riggs in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Rojas is trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tod Riggs will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Riggs shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Riggs lands strikes from half guard. Riggs slips a nice elbow through Rojas's hands, connecting with Rojas's forehead. Rojas is trying to stand up here but Riggs is controlling him well. Riggs is figuring out what he wants to do next. Rojas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Riggs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rojas blocking the ground and pound attempt from Riggs. Riggs sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rojas defending well though. Riggs thumps the canvas. Rojas wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Riggs stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Rojas to get to his feet. Rojas is trying hard to land a takedown here. Riggs sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Rojas is breathing heavily. Riggs looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Riggs fails with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riggs tries to keep at a distance but Rojas has taken the fight into the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Rojas. Rojas is trying to pull guard but Riggs has him pressed against the cage. Rojas avoids a wild elbow strike from Riggs. Nice elbow from Rojas. Riggs is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tod Riggs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Riggs on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rojas tries to land knees in the clinch but Riggs avoids the damage to the body. Riggs pulls guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rojas tries to stand but Riggs is controlling from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rojas wants to control from the top but Riggs keeps moving. Rojas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Riggs not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rojas wants to get up but he can't break Riggs's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Riggs lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rojas! Rojas really wants to buck Riggs off and get back to his feet. Riggs with shots to the head and body - Rojas looks very uncomfortable down there. Rojas somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rojas instigates a clinch. Riggs is trying to force a seperation but Rojas has the dominant position. Riggs looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Riggs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rojas has managed to clinch.
Riggs is trying to drag Rojas to the mat but Rojas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A nice glancing elbow lands by Rojas. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rojas avoids a wild elbow strike from Riggs. Riggs managing to block the knees to the body from Rojas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tod Riggs dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Rojas instigates a clinch. Cristian Rojas seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Rojas gets control of Riggs's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rojas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Riggs won't allow Rojas to get back to his feet. Riggs throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Riggs postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Rojas is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Rojas is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Rojas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riggs distracts Rojas with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Riggs postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Riggs's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Riggs scoring with some ground and pound. Rojas is working an open guard so Riggs takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rojas has managed to clinch.
Riggs working hard to break the clinch. Rojas creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Riggs's defenses. Rojas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Riggs's efforts to push away. Rojas wants to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riggs fails to pull guard.
Riggs tries to pull guard but Rojas holds him up against the cage and eventually Riggs drops back down to his feet.
Rojas lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Rojas tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Riggs smiles and moves away.
A combination from Rojas does no damage. Nice sprawl there from Rojas as Riggs shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tod Riggs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rojas is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Riggs is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rojas can't fight it off and eventually Riggs manages to take the fight to the floor. Rojas looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rojas is working an open guard so Riggs takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rojas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Riggs. Riggs shoots for a takedown but Rojas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rojas drives through and clinches with Riggs against the cage.

Cristian Rojas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tod Riggs is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Riggs tries to pull guard but Rojas forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tod Riggs. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Riggs, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
