Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Terry Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Peter Gongor!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thomas looking to score a takedown here. Gongor is defending well but Thomas drives through and ends up in Gongor's guard.
Thomas trying to control but Gongor is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gongor is looking to stand up but Thomas isn't so interested in that idea.
Thomas pushing down on Gongor's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Gongor tries to roll over but Thomas keeps him under control.

Gongor looking for submissions off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like Thomas is going to stand back up.
Thomas is breathing heavily.
Thomas is taking a breather. Gongor says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Gongor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Thomas works his foot free and advances to mount.

Thomas is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gongor to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gongor shrugs it off.
Gongor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thomas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gongor tries to hold on but Thomas postures up.
Thomas wants to stand but Gongor is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Thomas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gongor is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Thomas breaks from Gongor's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Gongor felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Thomas landing strikes from the mount and Gongor is in trouble!

Thomas is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Thomas!
