Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Helix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Batman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Helix!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Batman!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helix slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Helix throws the left hand but Batman avoids the punch easily.

Batman has managed to clinch.
I was talking to Helix's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Batman is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Helix is defending well for now.
Helix is looking for a takedown.

Helix lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Batman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Helix passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Batman!

Helix jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Batman manages to avoid the submission attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Helix throws an elbow but Batman slips to the side and avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Batman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Helix wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Helix has an Americana. Batman didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Helix is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Helix hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
