Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy DeVito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wedge Xiii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy DeVito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wedge Xiii!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeVito throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Xiii shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
DeVito has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
DeVito is trying to maintain the position but Xiii is very close to passing his half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Xiii connects with a nice short shot to DeVito's temple.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

DeVito uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Xiii.

Xiii throws an elbow that misses. DeVito uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Xiii's guard. Nice move by DeVito!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Xiii wants to sweep here but DeVito controlling him for the moment.
DeVito would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Xiii dives in and grabs DeVito's left leg, looking for a takedown. DeVito pushes down on Xiii's head and hops out.

DeVito is looking to control Xiii's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can DeVito avoid being mounted?

Oh DeVito is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Xiii has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Xiii loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have DeVito scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Xiii land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Xiii stands and salutes the crowd.

Wedge Xiii decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
