Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Josef Solis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Henk Hooijbroek! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hooijbroek lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hooijbroek tries to clinch but Solis moves out of range. Hooijbroek looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hooijbroek trying to control but Solis is working from the bottom. Hooijbroek is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hooijbroek throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hooijbroek avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hooijbroek would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hooijbroek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hooijbroek postures up.
Solis wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hooijbroek tries to clinch there but Solis circles away.
Hooijbroek throws a leg kick and Solis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Solis keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hooijbroek's efforts to push away. Solis looking for a takedown. Solis breaks the clinch.
Hooijbroek drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hooijbroek in the domination position with Solis hanging on. Hooijbroek working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hooijbroek advances to full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hooijbroek trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hooijbroek fails to move to back control. Hooijbroek tries to control but Solis wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Solis trying desperately to get to his feet.
Solis wants to hold on but Hooijbroek pushes him away. Hooijbroek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Solis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Solis is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henk Hooijbroek dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Horrible takedown by Solis or perhaps it was just good defense by Hooijbroek which made him look bad. Hooijbroek clinches with his opponent.
Hooijbroek is looking to control Solis's arms but Solis gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hooijbroek has his back to the cage. Solis wants to get back to striking at distance but Hooijbroek won't allow it.
Solis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Solis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Solis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hooijbroek looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Solis! Hooijbroek taking a breather here. Solis wants to control but Hooijbroek postures up. Henk Hooijbroek has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Solis regains half guard there - taking advantage of Hooijbroek's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hooijbroek in particular looking to stall. Hooijbroek wants to lay and pray for a moment but Solis keeps working.

Hooijbroek trying to control the position from guard on top but Solis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hooijbroek loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hooijbroek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Henk Hooijbroek hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hooijbroek scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Hooijbroek is breathing heavily. Solis gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hooijbroek seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Solis is looking to escape. Hooijbroek wants to control but Solis is keeping him busy. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hooijbroek trying to pass the guard but Solis defending well. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hooijbroek dives in and scores a takedown into Solis's guard. Solis uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Solis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hooijbroek to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hooijbroek trying to control but Solis is working from the bottom. Hooijbroek looking to sit in guard and control but Solis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Josef Solis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Henk Hooijbroek is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hooijbroek has momentary wrist control but Solis slips an elbow through the middle.
And that's the end of the fight! Henk Hooijbroek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hooijbroek winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Henk Hooijbroek! A very excited looking Henk Hooijbroek rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
