Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Casey Dunlap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jedrzej Lapinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Casey Dunlap has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Casey Dunlap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jedrzej Lapinski!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunlap shoots in for a double leg but Lapinski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jedrzej Lapinski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lapinski tries to clinch there but Dunlap circles away.

Lapinski shoots in and bounces Dunlap off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Dunlap working for a triangle but Lapinski defends it easily.

Lapinski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dunlap manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lapinski has Dunlap in his guard.
Lapinski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lapinski wants to stand up but Dunlap is controlling him.

Lapinski has his foot on Dunlap's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dunlap works his way back into a safe position though.
Dunlap seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Casey Dunlap has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Lapinski gets a double leg takedown into Dunlap's guard.
Dunlap can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lapinski controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunlap wants to stand and escape but Lapinski is having none of it.
Lapinski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dunlap swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jedrzej Lapinski has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Lapinski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dunlap looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dunlap is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lapinski asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Dunlap trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Lapinski trying to control the action but Dunlap is working from the bottom.
Dunlap tries to escape but Lapinski is in control.

Lapinski is trying to get an arm triangle but Dunlap is defending well.
Lapinski working the ground and pound but Dunlap is defending the strikes.
Dunlap manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Lapinski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dunlap doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lapinski.

Dunlap kicks off Lapinski and gets to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jedrzej Lapinski dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Lapinski scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Lapinski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Dunlap has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Lapinski is on him like a limpet, forcing Dunlap back against the cage.
Lapinski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Lapinski is trying to trip Dunlap. He has hold of a leg but Dunlap is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lapinski persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Dunlap wants to stand but Lapinski is controlling the position.
Lapinski pushing down on Dunlap's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Dunlap manages to escape and get back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lapinski looking to score a takedown here. Dunlap is defending well but Lapinski drives through and ends up in Dunlap's guard.

Dunlap is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lapinski is aware though and is defending well.

Lapinski wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Dunlap's closed guard. He's half up but Dunlap has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Dunlap pivots and extends the arm, Lapinski falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Dunlap! Well done that man!
