Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blake Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Qing Wu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wu has chosen Mimosa - Psychedelic Stereo as his entrance music. Blake Morrison has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wu fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Morrison dives in and grabs Wu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wu pushes down on Morrison's head and hops out.
Wu connects with a body shot that sends Morrison's belly button to the back.
Wu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Wu catches Morrison with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wu lands a head shot.
Morrison closes the distance and pushes Wu back into the cage.
Morrison has hold of one of Wu's legs. Wu is fighting the takedown attempt but Morrison gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Morrison thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Morrison's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've been hearing good reports from Morrison's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Morrison takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wu is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Morrison had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Wu thuds his right hand into Morrison's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Morrison sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wu's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Morrison has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Wu defend it? Morrison steps over the head and cranks it - Wu is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Morrison!
