Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Martinez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samuel Jackson! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Martinez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Jackson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Martinez.
Martinez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Martinez throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martinez as he jumps to the side. Jose Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch combination from Jackson misses. Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Martinez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jackson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Some wild striking there from Martinez.

Martinez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Martinez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jackson counters with a solid body kick. Jackson throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Martinez tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch. Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Martinez pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Martinez misses with a combination
and Jackson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Martinez's knee momentarily. Martinez throws a right and a left that both miss. Martinez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jose Martinez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there. Still in half guard, Jackson seems content to control. Martinez is trying to stand.
Jackson controlling the action here. Martinez pushes Jackson off looking to stand but Jackson dives back in and keeps control.

Jackson is looking to regain half guard here but Martinez keeps moving and retains side control. Martinez tries to stand but Jackson controls the position and pulls Martinez into his guard. Jackson has a closed guard, preventing Martinez from standing up. Martinez being controlled here momentarily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Martinez is looking to stand up but Jackson won't let him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Martinez misses with a series of wild punches.
Martinez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson. Martinez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Jackson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Martinez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jackson has him pressed against the cage. Jackson scores a nice knee to the body.
Jackson pulls guard. Martinez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jackson looking for a guillotine here but Martinez defends easily.
Martinez wants to stand but Jackson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson is pulling down on Martinez's head to control his posture. Martinez is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there. Jackson looking for a triangle here. Martinez is fighting it but it looks tight! Jackson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Martinez is tapping out - this one is all over!
