Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hung Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chael P Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Francis DeMontford and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguyen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nguyen fails to land with a series of punches.
Nguyen cracks P Sonnen with a good jab.
The fighters circling - P Sonnen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
P Sonnen dodges the punch combination from Nguyen.
P Sonnen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nguyen swivels and escapes.
P Sonnen throws a right hand that Nguyen ducks under and follows up with a left that Nguyen also avoids with ease.
Nguyen throws a combination. P Sonnen tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
P Sonnen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nguyen, pushing him back against the cage.
P Sonnen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
P Sonnen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Nguyen gets caught flat footed, as P Sonnen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
P Sonnen wants to control from the top but Nguyen keeps moving.

Nguyen wants to get back to his feet but P Sonnen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
P Sonnen controls from within his opponent's guard.
P Sonnen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Nguyen is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and P Sonnen dives into side control.

Nguyen is working to avoid the ground and pound but P Sonnen connects with a decent elbow.

Nguyen looks to move to half guard but instead P Sonnen has passed into mount! Damn!
Nguyen wants to hold on but P Sonnen pushes him away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oh Nguyen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
P Sonnen lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Nguyen seems to have got his legs back now.
P Sonnen is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nguyen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nguyen is looking to improve his position but P Sonnen isn't that keen on the idea.
Nguyen takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Nguyen is breathing heavily.
P Sonnen controlling his opponent.

P Sonnen cracks Nguyen with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
P Sonnen putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
This has been an exciting period of action!
BOOM! P Sonnen connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Nguyen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Nguyen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
P Sonnen working away from the top, dropping strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Oooooh, big shot lands for P Sonnen! Nguyen is hurt baaadly! P Sonnen is firing away with more strikes - Nguyen is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
