The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salemaea darts in and clinches Givi up against the cage.
Givi drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Salemaea has had enough of the clinch but Givi keeps him there for the moment.
Salemaea creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Salemaea looking to throw knees to the head but Givi is blocking nicely.

My spies in Finch Farm inform me that Givi has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Givi drops back looking for a leg! Salemaea is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Salemaea manages to kick Givi off! Givi jumps back into Salemaea's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Salemaea tries to free his leg and advance position but Givi is retaining full guard.
Givi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Salemaea's guard.
Givi throws a big elbow that misses.
Salemaea wants to get back to his feet but Givi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Givi has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Salemaea doesn't defend quickly enough and Givi has managed to lock this one up! Can Salemaea escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Givi on a fantastic submission victory.
