Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shun Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Typhaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masaru comes to the cage accompanied by Shoot Me Again. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shun Masaru! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, King Typhaze! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Typhaze looks to land a body kick but Masaru moved away. Sloppy strikes from Masaru. Those never looked like landing. Typhaze works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Shun Masaru has been cut. Masaru moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Masaru throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Typhaze throws a right and a left that both miss. Danga de danga de dang - Masaru scores with a four punch combination! Typhaze looks to land a combination but Masaru avoids it well. Typhaze instigates a clinch. A quick uppercut on the inside from Typhaze. Typhaze lands with a left to the head. Masaru misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Typhaze lands on the inside with an uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Masaru obliges. Typhaze creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Masaru's defenses. Typhaze tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Typhaze throws a knee to the head but misses.
Masaru misses with the head strike.
Masaru lands a nice knee to the body. Masaru is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Typhaze lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Typhaze has Masaru pressed against the cage, preventing Masaru from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Masaru looking to stall.
Masaru scores with a hook to the body. Typhaze prevents Masaru from breaking the clinch. Masaru takes an elbow to the temple. Typhaze is working Masaru over against the cage. Masaru jumps guard but Typhaze stands there with Masaru around his waist. Masaru gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Typhaze just misses with a elbow thrown towards Masaru's brow. I was talking to Masaru's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Typhaze lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Typhaze comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Typhaze is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Masaru takes a knee to the side of the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A nice glancing elbow lands by Typhaze.
Shun Masaru's cut is getting worse. Typhaze using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Masaru is breathing heavily. Masaru is trying to pull guard but Typhaze turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Typhaze lands with a left to the head. Typhaze gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Masaru lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Typhaze or not. Masaru using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
A right hook to the body lands for Typhaze.
Masaru jumps guard but Typhaze stands there with Masaru around his waist. Masaru gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shun Masaru. That's going to take a lot out of him. Typhaze lands a damaging elbow. Masaru avoiding damage as Typhaze throws knees to the body.
Typhaze tries to land knees in the clinch but Masaru avoids the damage to the body. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Typhaze creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Typhaze has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile. Masaru is trying to pull guard but Typhaze has him pressed against the cage. Masaru jumps guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Typhaze accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Typhaze missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Masaru preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Masaru working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Typhaze. Masaru has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Typhaze can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Typhaze trying to control the position from guard on top but Masaru is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Masaru has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Typhaze doesn't defend quickly enough and Masaru has managed to lock this one up! Can Typhaze escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Masaru on a fantastic submission victory.
