PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bloody Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremi Rounikki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rounikki rushes Blood and presses him up against the cage.

Blood wants to control from the top but Rounikki keeps moving.

Blood got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rounikki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blood has managed to get both his arms back between Rounikki's legs - danger averted.

We're going to have a standup here because Bloody Blood wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Rounikki dives in and grabs Blood's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blood pushes down on Rounikki's head and hops out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rounikki is defended easily by Blood.
Rounikki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blood swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rounikki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Blood defends well.
Rounikki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blood controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rounikki looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Blood has picked Rounikki up and slammed him! Rounikki can't keep hold of the triangle and Blood manages to pass to side control!

Blood postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rounikki is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Blood, into his guard.

Rounikki drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blood looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blood looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blood!
Blood definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Rounikki is looking for a sweep.

Blood tries for a kimura but Rounikki is defending well.

Blood tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blood has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Blood buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Blood throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rounikki was covering up waiting for the punch and Blood finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Blood is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rounikki is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rounikki has escaped and now he's on top!

Rounikki takes Blood's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Blood is in trouble.
Blood tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Rounikki throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blood is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Rounikki has control of Blood's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Blood regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rounikki can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Blood is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blood is squirming around, avoiding Rounikki's attempts to control the action.
Blood tries to lock up and control but Rounikki gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Blood is looking to control Rounikki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Blood avoid being mounted?

Blood is looking for a sweep. Rounikki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Blood is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rounikki's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rounikki's back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Blood is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Rounikki with him. Rounikki is trying to defend but Blood has an arm under the chin now! Rounikki grimaces and is forced to tap out!
