Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gibson Rickenbacker v.2 (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Attilius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). 2 and Marcus Attilius. Rickenbacker v.2 comes to the cage accompanied by Back Stabber!. Marcus Attilius told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Attilius! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rickenbacker v.2 tries to clinch up. Rickenbacker v.2 with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Attilius keeps the fight on the outside. Gibson Rickenbacker v.2 seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rickenbacker v.2 throws a right and a left that Attilius avoids nicely. Rickenbacker v.2 throws a sloppy head kick and Attilius moves out of range easily. Nice body kick there by Rickenbacker v.2. Attilius stuffs the takedown attempt from Rickenbacker v.2. Rickenbacker v.2 gets slowly back to his feet. Rickenbacker v.2 misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Rickenbacker v.2 tries to close the distance and clinch up but Attilius swats him away and circles back towards the center. Attilius moves out of range of the body kick from Rickenbacker v.2.
Rickenbacker v.2 dives in for a single leg takedown but Attilius sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Attilius has had enough of the clinch but Rickenbacker v.2 keeps him there for the moment.

Attilius wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rickenbacker v.2 has him pressed against the cage. Attilius is trying to break the clinch but Rickenbacker v.2 is controlling him. Rickenbacker v.2 tries to land a knee to the head but Attilius blocks with his arms.
Attilius breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rickenbacker v.2 dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Attilius. That did some damage! Rickenbacker v.2 looks for the body kick but Attilius saw that one coming. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Attilius keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rickenbacker v.2 rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Attilius moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Oh Rickenbacker v.2 is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rickenbacker v.2 tries a head kick but it misses.
Rickenbacker v.2 shoots in looking for a takedown but Attilius manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rickenbacker v.2's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gibson Rickenbacker v.2. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rickenbacker v.2 throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Rickenbacker v.2 seems to have got his legs back now. Attilius has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Rickenbacker v.2. A bone on bone clash there as Attilius blocks the leg kick.
Rickenbacker v.2 lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Attilius circles away quickly and effectively. Rickenbacker v.2 connects with a leg kick. Attilius looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A head kick by Rickenbacker v.2 misses and Attilius rattles Rickenbacker v.2 with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Rickenbacker v.2 tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Attilius dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Rickenbacker v.2 stiff and motionless on the mat!
