Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Goldman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lena Thorevska!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goldman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Thorevska tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Goldman is in Thorevska's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Thorevska keeping full guard, as Goldman tries to pass.
Goldman passes into half guard.
We've been hearing that Goldman has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Goldman wants to pass to mount but Thorevska is defending the position.

Goldman is persistently looking for the submission but Thorevska is defending it well.

Goldman has got his arm under Thorevska's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Thorevska has spun round into Goldman's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Goldman wants to sweep but no luck.
Goldman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Thorevska bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Goldman's head backwards.

Goldman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Thorevska's guard.

Thorevska trying to keep a closed guard but Goldman is proving a slippery customer.

Thorevska might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Goldman haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Goldman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Thorevska shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Goldman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Goldman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Thorevska!

Thorevska is bucking up trying to escape but Goldman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Goldman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Goldman is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Goldman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Goldman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thorevska keeps working.

Tony Goldman has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Thorevska changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Goldman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Goldman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Thorevska seems to be looking for submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thorevska seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Goldman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Thorevska closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Goldman did well to prevent Thorevska getting side control.
Goldman wants to improve his position but Thorevska is controlling well.
Thorevska is trying to control the action in half guard but Goldman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Tony Goldman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Goldman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Goldman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Goldman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
