The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Marin, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes Marin against the cage but Marin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Marin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Sanchez dives in and grabs Marin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marin pushes down on Sanchez's head and hops out.

Cheech Marin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Sanchez.

Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marin's waist but Marin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side.
Horrible takedown by Sanchez or perhaps it was just good defense by Marin which made him look bad.
