Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Koji Yano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pera Pulkkinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Yano might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fleur de Lis - Jucifer. Pulkkinen has chosen Levan's polkka as his entrance music. Koji Yano has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Koji Yano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pera Pulkkinen! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pulkkinen is looking to chop away at Yano's legs. Yano lunges at Pulkkinen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pulkkinen's hand. Yano thows a body shot but no joy. Good leg kick by Pulkkinen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Pulkkinen clobbers Yano with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Koji Yano has been cut. Yano misses the shot to the body. Yano throws a solid leg kick but Pulkkinen takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Yano. Some bone on bone action there as Yano checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Yano misses with a hook. Pulkkinen ducked under it nicely. Yano throws a hook but Pulkkinen blocks it. Pulkkinen throws a low kick but Yano avoids it. Yano scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pulkkinen doesn't seem bothered though. Yano scores with a hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pulkkinen lands with a shot to the body. Yano feints and as Pulkkinen raises his hands in defense, Yano changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Yano trying to control the position from guard on top but Pulkkinen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pulkkinen controlling Yano's posture. Yano has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yano wants to control from the top but Pulkkinen keeps moving. Yano slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Yano will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Yano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pulkkinen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We're going to have a standup here because Koji Yano wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Yano throws out a leg kick but Pulkkinen moves out of range and Yano only half commits. Yano attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yano scores with a jab to the head.
Pulkkinen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Yano at a distance.
Pulkkinen gets off balance looking for a body kick and Yano cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A looping hook to the body misses from Pulkkinen. Yano does a little dance to reset his feet. Yano throws a hook but Pulkkinen avoids it easily. A decent looking cross lands there for Pulkkinen. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yano throws a nice head kick!
Pulkkinen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Yano lands a nice hook to Pulkkinen's body. Pulkkinen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Pulkkinen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Pulkkinen misses with a body kick. Koji Yano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yano swings for the body but Pulkkinen moves out of range.

Yano loads up on a big right hand but Pulkkinen slips the punch. Yano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pulkkinen.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Yano throws a lazy uppercut
and Pulkkinen counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Yano has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pulkkinen is working away from the top position though. Pulkkinen prevents Yano from improving his position. Pulkkinen sitting and controlling from the half guard. Pulkkinen trying to control the action but Yano is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pulkkinen might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Yano haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Pera Pulkkinen. Yano connects with a body shot. Pulkkinen misses with an uppercut
and Yano counters with a leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yano jabs Pulkkinen right on the nose. Pulkkinen blinks but takes it well. Yano scores with a leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Pulkkinen misses the target. Nice jab there from Yano. Yano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pulkkinen.
Pulkkinen throws the kick towards the body but Yano avoids it. Pulkkinen checks a leg kick. Pulkkinen is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Yano rather than just go for the knockout. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pulkkinen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Pulkkinen defending well as Yano loads up on a big left hand. Yano fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pulkkinen on the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Koji Yano will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Koji Yano's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Pulkkinen is fending him off so far but Yano persists. Nope, Pulkkinen circles away and we're back to standing. Pulkkinen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Yano looks to throw a body kick and Pulkkinen counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pulkkinen misses the jab. Yano throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Pulkkinen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Yano. Yano digs a good body shot into Pulkkinen's ribs. A looping hook to the body misses from Yano. Pulkkinen does a little dance to reset his feet. Pulkkinen slips under a jab. Donk. Yano catches Pulkkinen right on the button with a cross. Pulkkinen lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A bone on bone clash there as Yano blocks the leg kick.

Pulkkinen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yano was well out of range. Poor timing from Pulkkinen. Yano smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Yano avoids the body shot from Pulkkinen.
Yano throws a right hand that Pulkkinen ducks under and follows up with a left that Pulkkinen also avoids with ease. Yano finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That kick from Pulkkinen tenderised Yano's leg. Yano is trying to keep his angry face on. Pulkkinen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yano tries to sprawl but Pulkkinen drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pulkkinen working the head and body with strikes. Pulkkinen drops an elbow to the side of Yano's head. Yano looking for submissions off his back. Pulkkinen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Yano looking for submissions off his back. Yano is not content to let Pulkkinen control the position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pulkkinen in particular looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yano is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pulkkinen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pulkkinen's back! Pulkkinen rolls, trying to escape but Yano keeps control of the position.
Pulkkinen prevents Yano from getting a body triangle. Pulkkinen trying to control the hands but Yano breaks the grip. A lull in the action here.
Yano is trying to stick to Pulkkinen's back but Pulkkinen is turning into Yano. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Yano's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pulkkinen. Yano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pulkkinen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Yano is tightening it up a little... Pulkkinen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Pulkkinen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Pulkkinen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Yano!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Koji Yano! During a confident post fight interview, Koji Yano thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
