Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yamamoto Takiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Jay Franlkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Franlkin's choice of entrance music: ACDC- For Those About To Rock . Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Jay Franlkin! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franlkin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Takiyama fails with an attempt to clinch.
Takiyama drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Franlkin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Takiyama under the eye. Takiyama is looking to clinch but Franlkin is avoiding it.
Franlkin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Takiyama. The fight stays on the outside here - Takiyama looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Franlkin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Takiyama takes the fight into the clinch. Takiyama misses with a hook to the ribs.

I was talking to Takiyama's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Takiyama looking for a takedown. Franlkin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Takiyama fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yamamoto Takiyama. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Takiyama closes the distance looking to clinch and Franlkin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takiyama misses with a takedown attempt and Franlkin counters with a series of strikes. Takiyama will be more careful next time no doubt. Franlkin tests Takiyama's chin there with a solid looking shot. Takiyama wants to clinch up but Franlkin keeps it at a distance. Franlkin has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Takiyama is landing a low percentage of strikes. Takiyama shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Franlkin as he avoids it easily. Takiyama has closed the distance and engaged Franlkin in a clinch.
Franlkin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Franlkin cracks a nice hook into Takiyama's ribs. Takiyama tries to move into range but Franlkin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Good shot there by Franlkin.
Takiyama is rocked! Takiyama drives through with a takedown into guard. Takiyama trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Franlkin manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Takiyama looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franlkin tries to stand but Takiyama is controlling from the bottom. Takiyama looking for a triangle here. Franlkin is fighting it but it looks tight! Takiyama pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Franlkin is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Yamamoto Takiyama! After winning the bout, Yamamoto Takiyama thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
