Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Son Briggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Mical! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mical closes the distance and pushes Briggs back into the cage. Briggs misses with some punches.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mical will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Briggs makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Briggs gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Jack Mical seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mical closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Briggs tries to get to full guard but Mical has control of the leg. Briggs actively working from the bottom here. Briggs wants to get back to full guard. Mical wants to take a breather but Briggs is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mical throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Briggs to regain full guard. Briggs wants to sweep here but Mical controlling him for the moment. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Briggs manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The referee warns Mical that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Briggs dominating with strikes here. Briggs breaks from Mical's wrist control and lands an elbow. Mical is looking to get to half guard. Mical is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mical is trying desperately to improve position. Briggs lands a heavy elbow. Briggs avoids the attempt from Mical to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Briggs looking to finish with strikes here!
Mical takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Briggs lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Briggs with a couple of short strikes. Mical is bucking up trying to escape but Briggs cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Mical looks winded! Mical tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mical is squirming around, avoiding Briggs's attempts to control the action. Mical is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. Briggs lands a big elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Briggs wants to control the pace but Mical is squirming around nicely. Mical throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Briggs with shots to the head and body - Mical looks very uncomfortable down there. Briggs looking to control but Mical is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Briggs lands a heavy elbow. Mical is in all sorts of trouble here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee warns Mical that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Briggs can't fight it off and eventually Mical manages to take the fight to the floor. Briggs looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mical is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Briggs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Now he's in top in Mical's guard. Son Briggs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mical has his hands on Briggs's head, controlling the position. Briggs wants to stand and escape but instead Mical has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Mical preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mical trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mical is looking to stand up but Briggs won't let him. Mical pushing down on Briggs's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Mical is breathing heavily. Briggs is looking for a sweep. Mical is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Briggs slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Briggs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Briggs is on top in guard.
Briggs missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Briggs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mical trying to keep a closed guard but Briggs is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mical keeping moving, preventing Briggs from controlling successfully. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Son Briggs will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Mical got a little sloppy there for a moment and Briggs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mical has managed to get both his arms back between Briggs's legs - danger averted. Briggs throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mical escapes and throws Briggs's legs to the side, diving into side control! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mical is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Briggs has escaped the position, nice work there. Briggs manages to work his way to half guard, despite Mical's best efforts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Briggs moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Mical looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Briggs is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mical is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mical is looking to stand up but Briggs won't let him. Mical controls from within his opponent's guard. Mical gets to his feet. Briggs looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mical gets in close and instigates a clinch. Briggs tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mical smiles and moves away.
Jack Mical has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Son Briggs is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Briggs moves in looking to clinch but Mical pushes him off.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jack Mical. I think Briggs has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
