Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vadim Vadokowich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vadokowich is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metallica - Enter Sandman. Fedor Belfort has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Fedor Belfort!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 38 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vadim Vadokowich!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort throws a combination. Vadokowich tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Vadokowich misses with a looping left.
Vadokowich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vadokowich misses with an uppercut.
Belfort fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vadokowich.
Vadokowich connects with a good right hand that stumbles Belfort. Belfort circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Belfort throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Vadokowich to counter with a crisp jab.
Belfort fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Belfort works the jab nicely.
Vadokowich lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Fedor Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belfort is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vadokowich.
Vadokowich ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Belfort bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Belfort swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vadokowich bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belfort throws an off balance right hand
and Vadokowich counters with a left to the body.
Vadokowich's corner calls for a 1-2. Vadokowich obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Vadokowich counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Belfort avoids a kick to the body.
Vadokowich scores with a nice head shot.
Belfort tries to bum rush Vadokowich with a series of wild strikes but Vadokowich uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Belfort misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Belfort. Vadokowich does a little dance to reset his feet.
Belfort misses with a leg kick
and Vadokowich counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vadokowich stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Belfort closes the distance and clinches up with Vadokowich, looking for a takedown. Belfort pushes Vadokowich against the cage but Vadokowich circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Belfort ducks right into an uppercut from Vadokowich.
Belfort rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Vadokowich counters with a crisp right hand that drops Belfort! Vadokowich lets Belfort back up to his feet, looking for a finish!


Belfort is rocked!
Vadokowich lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Belfort up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Vadokowich from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Belfort's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vadim Vadokowich!
Vadim Vadokowich is the new welterweight champion!
A relieved looking Vadim Vadokowich thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
